Harry, my lab partner, is an alcoholic. He doesn’t want to admit it but he is an alcoholic. Alcohol is like his daily vitamins or something. He drinks whenever he can… even before going to class! I’m really worried about him and I want to help him overcome his alcoholism. I’m also scared that he might develop other diseases just because of his bad drinking habits. I can’t get through a day in chem without him. Please help me.

I just read the answers to the question a lady posted about her 4-week-old puppies having Parvo. First, I want to say how sorry I am that this happened. Can anyone tell what the names of the diseases are that mimic Parvo, especially the one that can show positive on a Parvo test? Also, what additional tests are necessary to determine if your puppy has Parvo or the imitator and how do the treatments differ? I would be especially interested in answers vets or their assistants can give to this question.

I am graduating from college this year but am planning on doing a 1-year graduate program. I had my own car that my parents bought me but it was totalled in a freak accident. They purchased a new car with the insurance money and I got my dad’s old car. Technically, the car I have is supposed to go to my brother and since we won’t be living together next year one car between the two of us won’t work. Most car loans I have looked at have an immediate income requirement and unless someone “holds” a job for me while I’m in grad school the most I will have is $300 a month in income. I am thinking of trying to take out extra money via student loans since this will be a “necessary” expense for my schooling. Any ideas/suggestions?
