How do i remove spyware and virus without doing a system recovery and deleting all my files?

So I am pretty sure I have viruses and spyware on my computer because of endless pop ups, some of my applications randomly get deleted, and my computer has been slow. I downloaded the 90 day trial of mcafee and when it scanned my computer it did not detect anything. So what cam i do to remove the viruses without deleting my data?

How do you remove spyware that will not let you past the blue screen at start up?

I install a active x so I thought. Now when I turn on computer it will start windows xp but a blue background with the word your computer is infected with spyware. It then goes to a blue page stating all the technical problems and reboots itself.

How do you remove spyware from your computer for free?

I have Yahoo Anti-Spy, which occasionally catches some spyware on my computer, but when I use an online scanner, there are lots of other things that are hidden on my computer. How do I get these infected files out of my computer without having to buy antivirus software? Most of them are in “hkey” files. Thanks.

How do I get rid of spyware that is hijacking web addresses from my Favourites ?

I have apparently gotten infected with some sort of Spyware that is hijacking some of the sites that I have listed in my Favorites in Internet Explorer 7. It even occurs on some sites not listed in Favorites for which I type a url address. How can I block these offensive sites and get rid of the Spyware that is corrupting my web searches. Thanks for the help?
