If you have not heard you already Donavan Mcnabb has been traded to the Washington Redskins. The Eagles will receive a second-round pick (37th overall) in this month’s NFL draft and either a third- or fourth-round pick next year. As a long time Eagles fan I had mixed feeling about this initially but the more I thought about the better I liked it.
I believe Donovan well do will with the Redskins and, the draft picks that Eagles are getting hopefully will payoff, if you have not noticed that is the trend that Eagles have been setting, they have been seeking younger and faster athletes for the team, and it only makes since. Yes experience goes a long way in the NFL but also getting young guys with speed and talent will also pay off big time.
One great example is DeSean Jackson, the enthusiasm speed and agility that Jackson brings to the eagles bench is outstanding. If the Eagles keep recruiting players like Jackson, there a good chance that will be making it to the playoffs consistently and who know maybe a few more Superbowls!
