Rio…yes CFL lightbulbs do use a lot less energy, but did you realize that they are made in China for the most part and contain mercury. I thus have to wonder if the energy savings outweigh the environmental risk.

So if you own a car, you must be a banker who lives an extravagant lifestyle. Control is all it was ever about for government and politicians. Are you really eager at the prospect of government induced poverty?

Does have more plants in your house reduce your carbon footprint?

Well, obviously we breathe out CO2, and plants take in CO2, so by having more plants in our houses or around us, would that mean we could at least cancel out the CO2 we naturally produce? Am I on the right track?

Use fluorescent lights
Travel Less
Reduce, reuse, recycle
Etc

Basically, anything that hasn’t been said at least a million times already.

I’ve been using reusable shopping bags, using CFL light bulbs, keeping the heat down, and unplugging appliances and electronics when I’m not using them, among other things. What are you doing?
